そして今日（日本時間2/6　AM7：00頃）メールが届きました。

要約すると、以下のような内容です。
（あまり英語が得意ではないので、間違っているかもしれませんが。。。）

・10/31以前にModBookを購入した人が対象
・3/31まで受付している
・Bluetoothが正常に使えるようになる
・時々カーソルが跳ぶ事象が改善される
・（私の場合）2/9に、OWC からメールが届く
・（米国以外の場合）メールが届いたらOWCにModBookを送る
・7日〜14日で、返送される
・OWCへの送料は、こちら持ち。
・OWCから、こちらへの送料は、OWC持ち。

Bluetoothが使えないのは、我慢しても良いのですが、
カーソルが跳ぶ事象が改善されるのなら、このアップデートプログラムを受けたいと思っています。

購入する時も、かなり待たされた感があるので、14日以上かかってしまうのは覚悟するつもりですが、
そもそも無事、ModBookが戻ってくるかが心配です。

もし、既に、このアップデートプログラムを受けた方がいらっしゃいましたら、
どんな状況だったのか、教えていただくことは出来るでしょうか？

今、仕事がかなり忙しいので、遅れてしまうかもしれませんが、
2/9に届く予定のメールの件も、追ってご報告したいと思っています。

Dear Modbook User,

Axiotron has announced it is providing a free-of-charge hardware upgrade to your Modbook to restore its Bluetooth capability. The Bluetooth Compatibility Upgrade program is applicable to all Modbooks received by our customers before October 31, 2008.

Other World Computing (OWC) has partnered with Axiotron to implement the Bluetooth Compatibility Upgrade program for current Modbook customers from the United States and other countries, excluding Canada.

As a part of the Bluetooth Compatibility Upgrade program, each participating Modbook will also receive a new internal radio frequency (RF) shield. This RF shield, which is used on the most recent version of the Modbook, has been specially designed to decrease the potential for pen tablet interference from internal electronic noise sources. While it is impossible to completely guard an RF-based pen tablet system from interference, Modbooks that have previously experienced interference, sometimes referred to as a “jumping cursor”, show significant improvement in pen tablet responsiveness after the new shield is installed.

To participate in the Bluetooth Compatibility Upgrade program you must register your Modbook at http://www.axiotron.com/index.php?id=productregand check the box at the bottom of the page requesting participation in the program. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Axiotron, and you will be contacted by OWC within the next 72 business hours to arrange for shipment.

If you have already registered and are awaiting an email from OWC, that email can be expected Monday, February 9th.

The Bluetooth Compatibility Upgrade program requires that OWC receives your Modbook by March 31, 2009. For U.S. residents, Axiotron will cover UPS ground shipping costs to and from OWC. Once you sign up for the program, OWC will email you a UPS label that is valid for 10 days. You will then be able to take your Modbook to a UPS Store near you and ship it to OWC. To avoid transport damage, make sure it is properly packaged with 2” padding all around. For non-U.S. residents: Axiotron will cover the return shipping charge, but you must ship your Modbook to OWC at your expense.

Do not ship your Modbook until instructed by OWC. Your Modbook will be returned in 7 to 14 days.

Both Axiotron and OWC thank you for your patience in awaiting the Bluetooth upgrade.
