STORY
結成は1999年。
ストリートから活動をスタートし、自主制作で２枚のミニアルバムを発表後、レーコードメーカー数社より5枚の作品をリリース。 また、国内外を始め、様々なアーティストとのコラボレーションや、プロデュースも数多く手掛ける、日本屈指のアコースティック・ジャズ・コンボ。
2007年2月には、ニコラ・コンテによるリミックスを含む、"Prussian Blue EP"で海外デビューを果たし、同年4月にはフルアルバム"Prussian Blue"も、全世界でリリース。
そして、2010年10月には、Big Bangや、Marco di Marco などのリリースで知られる、イギリスの有力レーベル "arision"より、通算８枚目にして、２度目のワールドリリースとなる「possibility」を発表。
あくまでライブにこだわり続け、車１台で日本各地を駆け巡る。
アコースティックジャズを基盤としたクールでスタイリッシュなサウンドを展開し、馴染みの良いメロディーに独特のグルーヴ感覚、カラフルな楽曲スタイルは、ジャズ／クラブの両シーンにおいて、大きな注目を集め続けている。

STORY
As a pioneer of Japanese nu-jazz artist, they have kept working energetically, and currently they are receiving great reactions from around the world. They did a gig at a party called "UNA MAS" in Frankfult, Germany that was organized by Jan Hagenkotter (INFRACom!), Yannick (Needs), Michael Rutten (Compost). And the next year Feb. 2007, they released their first album outside Japan with "Prussian Blue EP" which includes the remix version by Nicola Conte. And in April, their full-length album called "Prussian Blue" which was also released around the world gaining good reputation rapidly.
Native was formed in 1999. Their career started on the street, and they have released 8 original albums. Playing live is most important for them. They drive throughout Japan just by 1 car playing nearly 100 gigs a year.
They play cool and stylish sounds based on acoustic jazz and their distinctive groove and colorful track style is receiving wide attention from both jazz and club scene.

1999年に結成、そしてNu-Jazzというジャンルの先陣を行く開拓者として活動を続けてきたNative （中村智由=Sax&Flute、杉丸太一=Piano、大久保健一=Bass, and 深谷雄一=Drum)は、日本全国を年間100箇所以上をヴァンで駆け巡り、活動からすでに6枚のフルアルバムを出すなど、実力人気共に日本のNu Jazz界を牽引している存在で、すでにヨーロッパでもアルバムが数枚発売されている。
名古屋を拠点に、彼らが演奏するのはスタイリッシュなコンテンポラリージャズで、しかしそこにはドラムやベース、パーカッションで彩られた美しいメロディラインがはっきりと存在している。
今回のアルバムにはYannah Valdevit(Eddy Meets Yannah)がヴォーカル参加しており、ドラム＆パーカッションに村尾コージ、トランペットに茅野嘉亮が参加している。
