☆ENGLISH ONLY☆コミュのWhere to go in Japan

I was hoping to apply for the JET program for Teaching english,

I'm not sure where would be a good place to apply to,

most of the big urban areas are usually resereved for returning members of the program,

if possible could anyone recommmend a nice place to go, that's not too hot?

What kind of food do you like?
And What is important for you when you decide where to live?

I live in Nagasaki.
So if you like fish and exercize, I recomend you to live here.^^
But if you like a big city, you'd not like being in here.

good place. i strongly recomend Sapporo to you.

i used to live there and it s kinda city not too big as

かなへぃ told you so, and you ll get every thing you

may need.

But there s a ploblem that ll be girls in Sapporo.

they are so hot.

Usually wherever u put down on your forms they ignore!
(unless it is a small place in the middle of nowhere!)
It's pot luck usually! So just apply & see!

Niigata is pretty fun but a long shaped prefecture, & if u like snowboarding, you'll love winter here!!

Since when were ex-JETs allowed to return to do the program?
That's the first of I've heard about that!!
Anyone else?!?

I think raughingman524 is referring to people in the JET program who elect to continue after the first initial year and not 'ex-JETs' per se. ^^

If you like countryside, I would recomend Gifu, my hometown.
It's nice place where greens and rivers are beautiful.
Could be Nagano.
Well, I hope you will happily to stay in Japan!

I might be killed by someone because I didn't recomend Nagasaki enough. I was bad at pushing.

Nagasaki has

good food,
good ocean,
good moutains,
good people,
good festivals,
good histories,
good restaurants.

Other places sounds good,too,though.

みんなさん、thank you all for your responses! actually i will be applying to JET for the first time,

but if i don't get in, i still plan on going to japan to teach english, maybe with nova, or some other agency,

so i wanted to get some opinions about some nice places in Japan!

thanks to everyone for your advice! i will take it into consideration!
