I am going to give a card and gift to a person who is pregnant and about to give birth. I think i will give the card and the gift after she gives birth. But I have no idea what to say in the card.
Congratulations for entering the world of Parenthood!
Hope the new born will bring joy and happiness.
Wishing you and your family a very bright , healthy and happy future.
かな..
but there can be thousand ways in which you can express..lol
I think it's better to give a card after the baby is born, but maybe I'm pessimistic like that.
Of course, it'd probably really appreciated if you can find other ways to help encourage / care for your friend who is pregnant (buy groceries, buy flowers, run errands for them, etc.)
Do you know“fu-zei”or“fu-ryu”in English?
In my Japanese-English dictionary, they can be translated into the word“taste”.
For example, the old castle has some taste...
But I think just the English word“taste” can't express the deep meaning of them at all!
In terms of the character,“風情”and“風流”are“windy feeling”and“windy flowing”.
I think they mean the states of Japanese hearts moved by woderful things with some great atmosphere like a comfortable wind.
In fact, I don't know how I should express them in English, but it's my idea.
Thank you.
Gosh! If you dont know what to say then maybe giving a card is not such a good idea! After all card should express your own feelings, not the feelings of strangers in this community!
even tho your words sound clumsy, if they come straight from your heart, your friend will surely appreciate it. It'll definitely more realistic and touching. In that sense, I kinda agree with ophelia. Good luck and congrats to your friend!
