☆ENGLISH ONLY☆コミュのLanguage learning using song lyrics....

Hi.

I am studying Japanese these days a lot. I especially like music, so I want to study song lyrics. But I find that a lot of songs' lyrics don't make any sense.

So can someone suggest Japanese bands or singers who write songs that have simple, story-telling lyrics?

For example, I love Love Psychedelico's music, but their lyrics don't make any sense (half English, half Japanese). I need to study something more like the song "Banzai" by the Ulfuls where the words tell a bit of a story.

Can you suggest any other songs like that?

U might as well go for B'z, or CHAGE &ASKA.

The way they choose the words is striking.

I second BOOTON on aiko. Her songs tend to have beautiful (and meaningful) lyrics. I personally like Mariya Takeuchi, too. Her lyrics do have some English words and phrases, but that doesn't bother me much as her English is pretty good.
