That's now a bit more than 3years that I am living in Japan, eating japanese food, speaking and thinking japanese. Like I said in other topics, I know very well that I am a foreigner here and will never be something else than a 外人 for japaneses. But I feel home, after more than 3years in Japan, I feel home, and whenever I am going back to Geneva (my home city) I feel good but not home! It's my city, my origin and I am proud of it, but not my home anymore, I feel like a foreigner. What do you feel? Where do you feel at home? For me it's the Kansai.
I have been living in Osaka since I was born.
My living place is far from the city.
Just near my house, there are KOSUMOSU BATAKE. let me introduce it.
home is nishinomiya in hyogo, and nojiriko in nagano. but both places changed so much over the 13 years of my absence so i'll only go there to get a wiff, and then i have to leave or it'll ruin my memory. sucks that everyone moves away.
Well do I have to explain how bad my house looks like, it's big, but old and next earthquake, I will probably die smashed under my house..... I am in Nishinomiya. Gonna be able to move out of it soon hopefully, but still I want to stay in Nishinomiya, Okamoto or Rokko. If anybody is looking for a room mate, please send me a mail
Kelowna, even though I wasn't born here. I lived here for around 14 years. I like the city itself, but I dislike the way the city is growing and most of the people are totally lame.
I think ,now Im living place is my home .
Thats "home"

Im living vancouver now . I think here is my home .
But one of canadian people told me that here is not your home town .

I moved a lot. Since i was 5 years old, I never stayed in same "home" for more than three years. Now, I'm in Michigan, but I still think that Denver, CO is my home. Where I lived for 4 years for school, and I know where everything is. I know where I should or shouldn't go. No need of tourist guide, and most of all, all of my people still are there.
Home, that's where you want to go back to. I finally found the home, and I'm going back.
My home is New York City. I like Japan (and my Japanese friends) very much. But I don't know if I could live there! I really enjoy visiting, but to be gaijin all the time, I'm not sure if I can handle it.
I understand your feeling! Im Japanese. I went to Australia for 2 years then I came back and working now. Japan is my country but I feel uncomfotable. I feel home when I stay in AUS.
my home town is Hakodate in Hokkaido.Currentrly I live in Utunomiya,Totigi with my husband.I always can relax when I go back my family's home...and I can meet childhood friends.
North Hollywood, California will always be my faux-ghetto home! I was born there, so it's hard to not call it my forever home. I do have a soft spot in my heart for Kyoto though!
Damn it, Taka! Where were you this summer when I needed a friend?? hahaa I was stuck in Hirakata SHITTY cause my Husband is a salaryman and I am a student in USA...
Anyway, since everyone's postin' pics...Here is Arkansas.
I live in Niigata of Japan. In the future, I wanna move to forigin country. I'm thinking the place.
What do you think?
Where is most interesting place or point?
I have been to oklahoma in America. It's so fun, becouse there is nobady there. I could practice to comunicate in English and I surly have to speak in English.

Home is where your drinking buddies are :-)
Hey I am from gifu,
I have been here for about two years, but I have been here on a working holiday too.
I am Australian. I live in a small town in gifu.
Coming from a fairly multicultural background, Its hard to understand how people think. But I think It has alot to do with education, ie media, parents, school.
Feeling at home somewhere is maybee alot about where you started out. I know alot of people have a better deal here than their birthplace.
I think Australia will always be home. but big up to the positive people that are from here too.
i used to live in Nakazato (in Odawara) in early 2002 till early 2003 and i felt so much more at home than anywhere else. there could be a few factors contributing to why that is, but i felt most at home there all the same.
in Indonesia, where i was born, i feel like an outcast. basically i'm viewed as a foreigner even by my own relatives. i understand why since i practically spent more than half of my life in Australia as opposed to the mere 6-7 years in Jakarta. another thing is that i'm a Chinese-Indonesian. well, although my family have been in Indonesia for several generations, we still don't belong. and obviously, we're not Chinese enough to be accepted fully in China too.
in Australia, it's alright i suppose, but i feel rather out of place and yearn being in an Asian country. most of my friends are Asians and all i think about is to find a chance to get out of here to Japan or Korea as soon as i can. well, that's my ultimate goal, but if i can't get there, Singapore, Taiwan or Hong Kong is ok too.
as for the factors that i mentioned before... hmm... that time when i lived in Odawara i was only 18-19 years old. the excitement and comfort of actually living alone in a new environment (city and country) might have been a huge impact on why i enjoy it so much.
i think home doesnt have to be only one.
wherever you feel comfortable to live in or feel home, that place will be one of your "home".
i was born and grown up in Japan, but Hawaii is also my home since i have lived there for a while.i want to make my home in the world more in the future.
