Just wanted to know how many of you guys are DS or PSP players.
Personally I'm a DS player currently playing Mario Kart, Starfox and Animal crossing. Shoot me a message w/ ur friend code if u want to play or something. Just ask me for mine...
DS all day baby!
Got mine modded too, so I have all my games on memory cards ;-)
Without wanting to start a mini debate, but serious gamers have DS's right?
I got a PSP, and haven't touched it in a looooong time. I got Tales of Eternia in Japanese, and quit when I couldn't read all the Kanji...haha. I could understand the gist of what they are saying in Japanese though. I got DJ Max for PSP which was fun.
Ahhhh I miss playing my PSP, but my life is all work work work! School School School!
It was cool to put Japanese music videos on it, and watch Sekai No Chuushin De Ai Wo Sakebu... but those days are all in the past. =*(
Can you even buy a DS lite in Tokyo yet ? It seems like everywhere has been sold out for months. I have a PSP but I mainly want to get a DS for the kanji dictionary software.
I'm also a DS lite owner... got a nice, brand-new shiny onyx black one recently. I've been a fan of Nintendo portables since the original GameBoy, and I think that the DS lite is probably their best yet - innovative interface (dual screens, stylus / touch screen, microphone), wireless connection, backwards compatibility with old GBA games. GENIUS!
I've been playing Advance Wars on my DS pretty exclusively every day on my commute back and forth to work, for about the past 2 months! It's an addiction.
I think I've about worn it out at this point... I don't think there are any more maps left for me to play (I've got like 3 I can't seem to beat, but I think once I do, that's pretty much it). I'll have to find a new game soon...
Personally i think the DS is a toy, the PSP is a machine.
Sony PSP for me, bought it mostly for the ability to watch videos and internet, but recently have discovered emulators and so can now play classic games on my PSP, currently addicted to Tetris. PSP UMD videso seem a waste of time as it is easier to buy the DVd and put it on the PSP memory stick, but its a nice idea. Games...well GTA Liberty City is my favorite.

The DS lite also has the ability to watch videos, use the Internet, play mp3s, and run emulators, though you need to buy a "SuperCard m3 lite", which is basically a dummy plug that fits the GBA slot and allows you to insert a microSD flash memory card.
A friend of mine recently got one and can't stop raving about it... he now watches DL'd television shows during his commute on his DS lite, along with using AIM and MSN messenger.
I'm a PSP owner version 1.5 (those of you in the know will know what that means. But like a lot of you I'm too busy to really play it, It serves a better purpose for those long trips around or out of the country.
At home it's worse I have to juggle that with A Panasonic Q, PS2 with Hard disk, A Dreamcast, and of course my PC.
I am considering a DS, it seems to be doing for Nintendo what Ipod did for apple.
Think I'm mostly looking forward to the Wii - haven't read much, saw some very impressive looking games - is there any functionality between that and the DS?
I have a red DS (not lite tho), but these
days i use it mostly as a dictionary (笑) I have 楽引き辞典, and I think its pretty
good entertainment (i.e. seeing if i can
actually write out the correct kanji)
and has some study/learning value
(^_〜)
In my room I have an xbox (not new), a
playstation 2 (sakura version), a game
cube and a dreamcast, all I need is
time to play....(; ̄Д ̄)
I have a PSP and 2 DS Lites (one white and one black). I play "Ultimate Ghosts 'n' Goblins" on the PSP, and on the DS Lite I play all kinds of games.
The reason I got 2 DS systems is so that I can play 2 players. Most of my games support "DS Download Play" so if I'm out with my girlfriend or some other friend and we get bored, we can play a game of Tetris/Mario Kart/Whatever.
That's what's cool about the DS Lite, isn't it? You can play together using the wireless capability. I have the game called "Bomberman," which allows up to eight people to play together. :)
I've only had my DS Lites for a couple of weeks, but I already have a small collection of games...
