最近の政治がらみのニュースを見て感じるのは、国民の意思とか切実なる思いを政治家は理解しておらず、誰のための政治を行っているのか甚だ疑問だ。
現政権は総理を初め、閣僚間の意思統一のなさや、思いつきで発言をしているとしか思えない事が多すぎる。外交では沖縄普天間問題、北方領土問題、東アジア共同体、インド洋の給油活動からの撤退・・・
国内問題では、事業仕分け、日航再建問題、内閣官房報償費の支出、首相自身の脱税疑惑に故人献金問題、小沢幹事長の政治資金や秘書寄付金問題・・・
数の論理で言えば、民主党は多数派であり国民の信託を得たと強弁も出来よう。しかしながら、マニフェストの内容には責任を持たず、耳障りの良い言葉で国民を騙しただけではないのだろうか。
前自民党政権の負の遺産も多いとは思うが、プラスの成果も多かったわけで、それはマスコミもスルーしている。たとえば下記のブログを参照して欲しい。

いまの閉塞感でいっぱいの政権で、支持率が六割超というのも、何やらマスコミの印象操作が働いているのでは？と勘ぐってしまう。同じ様な閣僚間のブレや、政治家の金銭に関わる問題が旧自民党政権ならば、鬼の首を取ったような騒ぎだったであろう。
政治とは誰のためのものなのか、日本という国は誰のための国なのか。もう一度、私たち国民一人一人が真剣に将来を考え、政治に参加していかなければ独裁政権の誕生になりかねないと思う。
ちなみに今日、11月19日はエイブラハム・リンカーンが1863年11月19日、南北戦争の激戦地となったゲティスバーグで、戦没者を祀った国立墓地の開所式にて表題の言葉を入れた挨拶を行った日だ。
この言葉は、「人民の人民による人民のための政治」という解釈で、民主主義の本質を語ったものとして有名だが、解釈には諸説ある。 藤岡信勝氏などの解釈もあろうが、ここは素直にマーク・ピーターセン氏の「人民の政府（政治）、すなわち人民による、人民のための」と捉えるべきだと思う。
この言葉の重さを、私たち国民も政治家もしっかりと受け止める必要があろう。
