I'm back with more from the archives. This time the focus is on CDs from artists beginning with the letter F. A wonderful selection of things from Faust, Gino Favotti, David Felder, Morton Feldman, Fennesz, Luc Ferrari, Scott Fields Ensemble, Michael Jon Fink, Five Thousand Spirits, Henry Flynt, Alessandro Fogar, Bernard Fort, Lukas Foss, Jean-Marc Foussat, Jim Fox, The Franciscan Hobbies, Freiband, and Reinhold Friedl & Michael Vorfeld. Some of these names are relatively "famous", while others are unjustly less known. I would especially like to point out two less known French artists: Bernard Fort and Jean-Marc Foussat. Fort you might remember from his 3" CD on Metamkine. The full length offered on this list is quite different, very quiet and composed electronic music which is based on nature sounds. Lovely stuff. Foussat is the opposite end of the spectrum. It gets very quiet but also very loud. Foussat's CD is the kind of experimental music that draws in many things, not just sound sources, but stylistic approaches and head spaces. An excellent recording engineer, this is an outstanding record.
Lots of other great weirdness still here, often only a single copy left - like the videos by Jon and Masayoshi Urabe or the classic debut by Mauve Sideshow. Likewise, I am getting pretty low on the first issue of Bixobal magazine, as it has been very popular. The second issue will be out in January, so I won't be printing any more of the first issue (I already had to reprint it once).
As before, the full list of stock from the Anomalous Records' storage can be found here:
