Are you planning a trip to the UK in 2007? If so, there are a lot of very interesting places to visit. York, is my hometown and I love it. I was born in London but spent a great deal of time as a young girl in York. I went to York Girls School which is right next to York Minster.
If you visit York, you must visit the Minster. It is a large cathedral that was built over 250 years ago. For those that are comfortable with heights you can climb up the Minster and there is a wonderful view of the city and the old walls from the top. It is definitely worth the 275 steps it takes to get to the top of the central tower.
York is especially beautiful in Spring when the daffodils bloom. There are thousands of daffodils planted all around the city walls and they make a spectacular site.
