As you know, I used to work two businesses, both of which are
based in Osaka and proudly over 130 years old now.
One is Showa Boeki and the other one is Tenhiko Sangyo.
I'm proud of having worked at the two old and traditional companies.
These days, Tenhiko Sangyo has been getting lots of
attention from the steel industry it belongs to and the public
because of their innovative efforts to survive the industry.
Last week, NHK News Show titled BIZ/Spo introduced
this company.

これはどちらも１０年前の新聞記事で、私が少し解説を加えたものです
* 17 Punished for "Empty Business Trips"
17 civil servants of the Okinawa Development Agency have admitted to wide scale fraudulent claiming false travel expenses. The bureaucrats admitted to systematically claiming over 1.38 million yen for "kara shucho" or empty business trips in a 3 year period. An investigation has been launched into all expenses claims for the past 5 years.

『広範囲に及ぶ詐欺により、空出張費を請求していた事』
↑の様に、前から前から訳します
・false travel=にせ（空）出張、出張を他の言葉に代えると、false phone no.（偽の電話番号）などと言う言葉が出来ますね。
・the bureaucratsは、冒頭の 17 civil servants of the Okinawa Development Agencyを指しますね
the が付いていますからね。 （沖縄開発庁）
