弊所は、先日、通翻訳練習セミナーを実施致しました：
★その時に、【train】 という動詞が出てきました。
Please train my children hard. （うちの子達を厳しく躾けて下さいね）
この trainは、「人を躾ける、動物を躾ける、〜 技術の研修をする」というところまで意味があります。
列車も train ですね。
列車の TRAIN も 訓練/研修の TRAINも 意味合いは同じです：
→技術を習得したり、躾けを体得するには、一定の期間（時間的な長さ）が必要です。
train とは、一定の期間、長さ、という意味もありますので
そこれから、列車（列車も車輌がつながれていて長さが有りますね）という意味にも派生します。
辞書にて確認ください。 a train of rains は、雨が何日も降り続くこと
a train of thought は、ずーと色々と考えている事 ですね
さて、trainは便利な動詞です：
Your workers are all well-trained, aren't they? 「御社の社員の皆さんは全員良く躾けられていますね」
These students aren't well-trained. 「ここの生徒らは行儀悪い」
My dogs are well-trained. 「うちで飼っている犬はみなよく躾けられています」
などと使えます。
更には、
I'm not well-trained in music.と言うと、「音楽の教育はあまり受けていないんです」となります。
「猿回しのおじさん」は、a monkey trainer. ですね
「サーカスの動物はみな芸を仕込まれている」
The animals in the circus are all well-trained to show wonderful performances.
「田中部長は、部下に、営業マンとして、２−３、お客さまを楽しませる特技を仕込んでいます！」
Mr. Tanaka trains his sales persons to develop a couple of funny performances
to show to their own customers.
などと、色々に使えます。
「鍛える、躾ける、仕込む」と言う意味合いでの使い方をご紹介しました。
