We are all aware that each and every Tibetan has a responsibility to participate in the common Tibetan struggle for freedom. Directly or indirectly, what we are all today in the West and elsewhere is because of the blessing and hard work of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the exiled Tibetan government. The call for Tibetans and Tibetan communities and organisations to rise up to the occasion and take an active part in leading or working closely with respective Tibet Support Groups need not have to come from His Holiness and the exiled Tibetan government. We, no matter inside or outside Tibet, all the Tibetan Brothers and Sisters, have a duty to be concerned and do something practical to show the Tibetan presence and make our voice heard both at the national and international level.
It is with the above facts in mind that, we would like to request all the leaders of the Tibetan Communities and Organisations to engage in planning works and actions to make our Tibetan presence and voice heard in your respective countries and parliaments in support of our common aspiration for Tibet’s freedom. If the current lack of visible interest and participation from the Tibetan Communities and Organisations in our common struggle for Tibet continues, then the day when all the Tibetans are freely living in an harmonious united country would never come.
We then have only ourselves to be blamed for that. There are obviously many, many ways to make the people and their parliaments and governments aware of and supportive of our just Tibetan cause. Making our Tibetan presence felt and voices heard is just one example. Therefore, in the interest of our common Tibetan aspirations, we hope to hear about and see more Tibetan presence at especially Tibet-related rallies outside Chinese embassies and also see more participation of Tibetan presence in teachings of Dalai Lama and protests and demonstrations for Bhod Rangzen.
