My dream is to do travel over World Heritage. The number of World Heritage exceeds 800 now. I want to see a lot of World Heritage as much as possible until I die. Today, I want to talk about World Heritage that especially I want to see.
First of all, it is Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The Angkor of Angkor Wat means king capital, and the wat of Angkor Wat means Buddhist temple. Angkor wat is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built for king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. It was registered in World Heritage as an encore ruins in 1992. When I saw the photograph, I was terribly impressed. Why did the civilization prosper in the jungle？And why did the civilization buried in the forest, and have it declined? I want to study the history of Cambodia, and to deepen the interest.
The second, I want to go Cairo. Cairo is a capital of Egypt. And there are a lot of important ruins in Egypt. The pyramids of Giza, the sphinx and the Abu Simbel are too famous. The pyramids of khufu in Giza is registered in World Heritage. This height is 146ｍ, and the base is 230m. How did the pyramids built ago 4500 years? What did the pyramids built? There are a lot of mysteries in Egypt. Therefore, I will feel the charm in Egypt.
Thirdly, It is World Heritage that is called negative World Heritage. Negative World Heritage is heritage that proves the crime that human race committed such as wars and racial discriminations. For example, Auschwitz Concentration Camp, Genbaku Dome and Island of Goree are them. I think that we should think about peace. It is necessary to succeed these negative World Heritage for a long time for that.
I think that World Heritage is a history of mankind. I think that the road where the mankind has walked up to now is repetition of failure and success. So, we try always to watch the history of mankind, and it is necessary never to repeat the same mistake.
I think that World Heritage is appealing for it to us.
