2008年10月11日、癌との闘病の末この世を去ったアルトン・エリス。ジャマイカのシンガー、ソングライターの礎を築いた、伝説的ゴッドファーザーである。このアルバムは60年代に始まる、彼のレコード・プロデューサーとしての恐るべき能力を一望できる恰好のショウケースである。収録曲のほとんどが今まで簡単には聴く事が出来なかった貴重な音源ばかり。アルトン本人と妹ホーテンス・エリス、そしてアルトンより先に急逝してしまったスカタライツのトランぺッター、ジョニー・ムーアの1曲を合わせた最高の全19曲。
