Last month we commemorated the A-bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I have always been very sad by the history of war and radioactivity in Japan! Each time I go to Hiroshima, I like to go to the Memorial Park to send many prayers towards world peace. I know that many of you pray the same way too. It is a long time ago, but we still have similar fears today. How about nuclear thing? How about North Korea... do the have these weapons? That's why it was very important for me to write this song and make this video.
Maybe some of you already know "Hadashi No Gen". I cry every time I watch it :( But I want the true nature of war and disaster to be shown to the world. And I was so impressed by the courage of Nakazawa-san (who wrote the manga) who tells so honestly about his life and experience. He wants to teach future generations, so my wish is for many many people to know his heart. Today Nakazawa is a little old and sick with cancer, but he has quickly become one of my big heroes after I watched "Hadashi No Gen". I couldn't quite understand all words in the cartoon, but the feeling was very clear. This feeling I wanted to express through music. I hope you like it.
Please feel free to share with friends and colleagues, if you wish. The song is not released yet, but I might release as a single, if people want it on their iPods ;)
Thank you so much and have a blessed day! I'm always singing for you... ~ Annekei

Last night the moon was full I wish I could have pulled her closer to earth so she could light the dark the dark that takes us far and still further from birth
How long will we have this beauty? How long will we keep on shooting? It's crazy how fast we forget How long will we have each other? be able to become a father or mother? Will we ever feel regret?
If we pray If we pray Maybe we can understand what we have, someday
The breaking of the waves has kept us here for days our homes all shattered The message has been sent but we don't seize to bend the truth of what matters
How long can we drink this water? How long will we accept the slaughter? When do we realize there's no enemy? How long will we take for granted the fish that swam and the bird that landed? What if one day it's history
If we pray If we pray Maybe we can understand what we have, someday If we pray If we pray and then act accordingly it might be the way that we'll be saved
