I apologize that it's been such a long time since my last message! I have been working very hard in New York and now FINALLY made it to Tokyo last week. I have missed Japan so much and am SO happy to be back!! This week I have been recording with Masuzaki-san and our other great partner, keyboardist Jun Abe, and we are very close to being done with my next album :-) I can't tell you how excited I am about this record!!! We are now looking forward to a spring release and tour. Then, hopefully I'll be able to meet many of you again. I have put all my heart and message for you in these songs. Sometimes it's hard to only use words to explain... but I hope you can receive my message through my music.
I know that so many are still struggling after the disaster. I have seen recent pictures from Fukushima plant and temporary housing situation. I pray each day for the recovery of everyone's hearts. One worry I have is that some people refuse to leave areas with risk of radiation. Even if the risk is small, it can still give damage. Let's send all our support continuously, so everyone can have courage to take the smartest decision and always be as safe as possible! I am full of optimism for the situation here in Japan. I admire the way everyone has been coping and supporting each other, and I know that so many beautiful things are ahead from now on. So we don't have to worry anymore. Only, we have to keep our eyes open and our minds connected <3 How lucky we are to be alive and to be here together!
I'm looking forward to SUCH a beautiful year with you guys here in Japan.
