We learned idioms using animals in VOICE. Below are the idioms that we talked about.

In Japan, people eat raw horse meat, but in western countries, they don't eat a horse, so it's the last food to eat. Notes: You cant't say, " He could eat a horse because he can eat any unusual food like raw eggs, sea cucumber, konowata, chicken's heart, grilled sparrow etc."

Some idioms were very fresh to me, so the VOICE class was really productive. Do you know any other idioms using animals?
There are so many useful idioms and all of them sound interesting
to me! Thank you so much.
I know the similar one to "I could eat a horse".
It's "I'm so tired I could sleep for a week!" I occasionally reply this
pharse when my teachers ask me how I am. :)
In my opinion, the reason the phrase "eat a horse" was made in the
old days is because those who live in English-speaking lands never
eat horse meat and horse is the biggest animal in the countries.
If there were elephants in the lands, the phrase would be like this:
"I'm so hungry, I could eat an elephant!"
Pro: Anytime. I didn't know that idiom. When I'm very tired, I will say,'I could sleep for a week.' in VOICE. When you've learned a new word, use it ASAP. It's a tip for remembering new words. And the episode about I could eat a horse is quite interesting.
