毎年恒例のラックスミス所属レーベル主催のコンサート。
2006年は2月28日の本拠地メルボルンだけのようです。
メンバーの引越しやら何やらでこれを逃したら次にラックスミスを見られるのはいつか？？？ってなことで、観光がてら皆様いかがでしょうか・・・？
ちなみに12月中にチケットを買うと抽選で1名分だけ飛行機代$200負担してくれるプレゼントがあるそうです。
かく言う私はきっとそのころ日本です・・・。
CANDLE RECORDS 2006 CONCERT - Let The Flames Begin
After last years epic 4 Candle Concerts to celebrate our 10th birthday, we were toying with the idea of having a year off organising the concerts. But it's a tradition we've tried to continue over the years, so we're happy to announce a one-off concert in Melbourne at The Corner Friday February 28th. We like to think of it as the pre-opening ceremony for Melbourne's 2006 Commonwealth games. This year the line-up is a mighty one if we do say ourselves, with The Lucksmiths (first show in Australia since April), Darren Hanlon, Tim Oxley, The Guild League, The Small Knives, Rob Clarkson and Anthony Atkinson. The Candle concerts in the past have been a great celebration of the label and the bands, so we hope you can make this one-off concert. We know people in other parts of the country will be disappointed the concerts aren't travelling, but the huge costs of organising them makes it extremely difficult to do the concerts every year. It's also one of the reasons we did the DVD, as we know there's a lot of people that can make the shows.
This year one lucky person will win $200 to go towards an airfare to fly to the Candle concert and a double pass to the concert. To go in draw, purchase a ticket before the end of December direct from Candle (website or phone) and either you or a friend can win the prize to come to Melbourne. Please note the prize money can only be used to go towards an airline ticket for the concert and not cash or CD's. The winner will be notified early January. We hope to at least make one person happy outside Melbourne.
Tickets are on sale now for the bargain price of $15 plus bf from www.candlerecords.com.au, Polyester Records and the Corner Hotel. If there's any tickets available on the night, they'll be $18. The playing times and running order will be finalised in early February. We hope as many people as possible can come along celebrate our 2006 Candle Concert.
