Would you like to volunteer helping out at the Yabun concert on January 26, 2006 in Redfern Park? Or do you know anyone who would?
Gadigal Information Services (Koori Radio) needs people, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women to help out on the day, assisting people and contributing to making the day a great success for all.
For anyone who has an interest in event management or would just like to do their bit in supporting an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community event then here's a great opportunity to get involved.
We need people to assist backstage, help out in the park and at the Elders tent and generally be of assistance to the audience and the organisers in making the day enjoyable for all and a great success.
Koori Radio's production manager, Caroline Barton, also needs a small support team of volunteers interested in helping set up, manage and bump out equipment for the live to air national broadcast of the concert transmitted nationally through the National Indigenous Radio Service.
Volunteering is fun, you get to meet a great team of people, build on your skills and be rewarded by knowing that you had a part in the success of "Yabun", Australia's largest and hottest Indigenous music concert.
To register your interest or for more information, phone Tim Bishop, volunteers Coordinator for 'Yabun' on 0421 842 758 or email: tjbishop@optusnet.com
We also warmly welcome people who do not identify as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to volunteer and show their support for Indigenous Australia.
