Dear DF/HCC DNA Resource Core users,

The Core is excited to announce its new, same-day sequencing service (available on September 8th, 2009) that would accommodate users who need their results within eight hours from sample submission. This short turnaround time will allow you to better plan your experiments, to perform timely troubleshooting and to finish your project faster.

DNA samples submitted before 9 am each morning during the work week will be setup immediately and results will be uploaded online no later than 5 pm in the afternoon of the same day. This same-day sequencing service is available only to users who drop off samples at the three locations at Harvard Medical School Campus to ensure timely pickups and sample setup. Due to limited throughput, we can only process the first 192 samples submitted for same-day results. Therefore, samples for same-day results will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis until our counter reach 192 samples. All same-day sequencing reactions will be charged a flat rate of $10 per sample.

We hope that through the implementation of this same-day service, we can offer greater flexibility to our valuable users.
