Hi
I love starbucks. When I see one I just have to get one. I especially like the frappuccinos.
The sandwiches are yummy too.
There isn't one close by home but there is one right by where I work.
When I have time after work I go thru the drive-thru
Hi
I have learned more terminologies for coffee today.
Red eye - Coffee with one espresso shot
Black eye - Coffee with two expresso shots..
Doritto?? (Correct me if I am wrong) means two shots??
I am amazed that pepple here order very complicated drinks, like
[Double iced Decaf, tall, 2 pumps of suger free vanilla, with whip cream, non-fat milk, latte]...or something....My short term memory is very bad so I am always lost...Especially when I do DT. People are very frustrated when I got them wrong...
Does anyone know good ways to remember how to remember and call drinks????
Hi!!! recently,i start working in STARBUCKSI wondered when i started the trainning because there are many stuff to study. However I didn't know the coffee brand and also tea brand. I usually drink macchiato or frappuchino actually I didn't drink standerd coffee. it is much too bitter for me.
By the way, my co-woker are almost Canadian there are no Japanese so it will be difficult to learn everything. I have to study hard and I wanna read some about STARBUCKS in here
>みぃちゃん
Same here. I started working at the Starbucks last week in U.S. where there is no Japanese.
My co-workers are all American, but they are all nice.
I am wiling to share info with you if you know any better way to tender transactions or call drinks.
What I studied today is:
Tall - 1 Espresso shot
Grande- 2 Espresso shot
Vinti - 2 Espresso shot
Iced Vinti- 3 Espresso shot
also,,
When you make Frappuccinos, if there is "CHIP" in whatever the name of the Frap, gets a Drizzle.
I would love to share the infomation with you even it is a trifles like what I just mentioned here.

Thank you for replay me. By the way I was working in the store right now. today also I was worked 7hours.
Actually I didn't start making coffee I always doing register but it getting better. However I had some troubles because I couldn't understand about "mist" what that mean??? it is one of flavor?
I want to make sure about that. And then sometimes I have to push "add dairy" but also I could't understnad yet.so if you know about that please tell me.Otherwise iwill ask to my co-worker.
anyway, how's your job. i still feel difficult but i can do some of register without help and I can do bus.i guess i have to do what i can and everything will be getting wel and I thought some customer tell me "I know you are new so you can take time" I was very thanks for them. I think of course it depend on person but we can meet many nice people like them. let's do our best!!!
みいちゃん、
On my first day, I did Frappuccinos and cold beverages.
After their Workshop and I completed their computer test, and I have experienced DT and Cash register on my 3rd and 4th day.
I actually learned their hot bevarages yesterday and started serving them to our customers from today...It was very scarly.
I have memorized most of their famous drinks though.
{Mist} is Tea mist?!
You put tea bags (tall-1 Grande-2 Vinti 2 ) and pour hot water to the silence eyes (They call them silence eye, the Lady's eyes on the cup) and let it sit there for 3 minutes for Zen and 5 minutes for other teas. Pour some hot milk to the top. That is Tea mist.
It you talking about Coffee mist. I think it is same as [Cafe au lait]. Some people call it [Cafe Con leche] You make it with Regular coffee, but I have not seen anyone order it yet...hahaha. I think Cafe latte is more popular drink.
(Please ask your partners too, and correct me if I am wrong.
(^-^)
I think it would be much easier for you to ring drinks after you lean about the drinks, cause you have to know exactly what is in the drinks that customers order. For instance, Some customer orders, [Tall, Non-F, Mocha], then you instantly assume that the customer doesn't want fat in the drink, so you probaly should ask {Would you like Whip cream?] Cause Mocha comes with whip cream on the top. Most customers say [No Whip].
I guess I will be on my own from next week...I am very scared....It will be my 7th day since I started.. I wish I would not mess up the customer's drinks..Wish me luck.
How does the markout wok in Canada ?? Can you get one every week? I have picked Tazo tea last week and I got my first coffee [Breakfast Blend] this week. I like the system!

I checked the book of Bevarage manual today at the store. Cafe mist is half coffee and milk.
There is a cutomer today ordered a 1/3 Decaf & 2/3 regular, 2% milk, Cappuccino. How could their drinks be more complicated??? I would love Japanese customers than customers in U.S.

Thank you for your answer.your so kind
By the way my STARBUCKS is not as same as others becouse I couldn't get apron and also about benefit about coffee and tea. we can get when we are working in the store but we can't get like you. one of my co-worker told me our store is like a fake STARBUCKS. Anyway we are making same drink and same pastries.so I'm still confusing about that.it looks same store.
this week I have to go many times in a day.actually i will work 8hours in a day and it will be 5days. I worry about can I do that? I mean I'm still need many help. but I just try to listen and getting better.
oh!!
I like Canada customers because almost they are kind and when I couldn't listen complitly, they repeat more slowly. so I think i should get better.
みいちゃん、
Didn't they give you the Green Apron? I think your store is an [Internatilnal Store]. There are 3 types of stores, Regular Starbucks(US), Licensed Store(in US but owned by other companies), and International Stores. They are all different. I guess yours is considered an International, cause it is located in Canada.
It is funny that your partner told you" it is a Fake Starbucks".
You will be on your own? Good luck! Let me know if you get more information about their drinks!
All of you, hello!

Hi!
It has been 3 months since I started working for Starbucks in US. I have just got an application for their benefits today. It is great that they give all the benefits if you keep at least of 20 hrs of work a week. I am glad that I stick with it so that I don't have to spend 600 dollars on health insurance every month. It is crazy how expensive the insurance are here and It is very hard to find a good insurance comapny that covers most of things.
I will probably go back to see my family in Japan next year, then I would request my store to transfer me to a Japanese Starbucks for the few weeks while I stay there. It is a very convenience system for the partners. I love it!
I don't know if the Japanese stores allow their partners to relocate to other stores outside of Japan. Do they have the same kind of benefits in Japan too? Does anyone know?!
