.FIORE.コミュのThe End!

All of us guys in Fiore were super excited a few months ago about the direction we were heading as a band. If anyone asked us if were to break up soon, we would have laughed it off as if it weren’t a serious question. A lot of things have happened since then that have been less than favorable, you could say. I guess I’ll just get to the point, as I have the unfortunate task of letting you all know that Fiore will not be continuing as a band anymore.

As many of you know, we hit a bump at the end of last summer when our drummer and friend Bret left the band to pursue other life pursuits. We were more than happy for him, and decided to push on, full force, to get to where we wanted. We found a drummer, and new friend, quickly afterwards: Aaron, who actually moved from Boston to be in this band. Things were coming along greatly; we wrote music, practiced a bunch, and really communicated on all things Fiore, and it just seemed to click. It seemed that we knew what we wanted, artistically and more. We took the steps to get there by jamming, writing, and, a little later on, recording 3 brand new demos. We were going to shop the demos while focusing on building a local fan base and basically starting over, but in a fresh, exciting way.

It was all going well, but recently, our new drummer Aaron decided that his place in Fiore, although an amazing experience, wasn’t what he needed/wanted at this point in his life. Again, he left the band on completely great terms, and we couldn’t have supported his decision more.

It’s been a few months since that happened, and since then, we took a much needed break. We got together to play without a drummer, but it wasn’t working. We needed that rhythm. We were hunting for a new one, but knew it would be a daunting task. We weren’t having the greatest luck, and since Aaron fit the mold so well, our expectations were high. We just didn’t feel that we could connect with a new guy the way we did with him.

We decided to end this band, not because we don’t care anymore, but because of the aforementioned recent events and other decisions. Fiore accomplished so much in the few years we existed. We have learned so much and will take our knowledge with us wherever we go. We just don’t feel that we should continue this project anymore. As were the reasons for Bret and Aaron leaving, we feel that this band isn’t where we should be in our lives right now. Our hearts aren’t in it as they were before, and what’s the point in continuing if it doesn’t make us happy, right? We will, in no way, stop writing and playing music, as it is our passion. Jeff will continue to write music, as will John and I. In a way, it will be a fresh start for all of us, and we are all very excited at the prospects of music in general and the never-ending opportunities that music will present to us.

So we want to thank everyone that’s been a part of this wonderful, strange, stressful, weird, beautiful, depressing, rewarding, and overall great trip that we’ve been on. We can’t make a list of names, as it would be too hard just about impossible to remember everyone, but thanks to all the bands we’ve ever played/toured with, everyone who has directly worked with us, everyone who has been in this band, everyone who has given us a meal, a bed, a couch, a floor, or directions, and especially anyone and everyone who has ever said a kind/nasty word to us, left us a comment/message/email, listened to us, saw us play in front of 3-300 kids, bought merchandise, illegally acquired our music, or sang along with us. You kept our heart beating.

Don’t think this is the last you’ve seen of us. I fully intend to play music my whole life, as will the other guys. We hope to see your beautiful faces again.

Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love you all.

-Adam, John, Jeff
