On August 6th,1945, the first nuclear weapon was dropped in Hiroshima. At this time, Japan was on the verge of surrendering during World War?. Including the casualties in Nagasaki, more than three hundred thousand people died in a matter of seconds. T hose who narrowly escaped death have struggled with the memory of the tragedy and the aftereffects. Some survivors could not disclose as they are the victims. The nightmare is too cruel to tell and victims faced prejudice for others feared that they would become infected or that children would inherit various diseases. On April 5 in the Czech capital of Prague, US President Barack Obama gave a speech making clear his goal of working towards the realization of a world without nuclear weapons.” Stating “clearly and with conviction America’s commitment to seek the peace and security of aworld without nuclear weapons.
