UFBファームウェアアップデート

UNIVERSAL FIGHTING BOARDことUFBのファームウェアアップデートをやり忘れていた。
ケーブルを買った時にやろうと思っていたんだけどな。

でダウンロードするのだが、探しづらい。'Mega Drive'からリンクを辿って
"Universal Fighting Board"を探し出した。
現状では2023/07リリースのV3.9が最新のようだ。
アップデートモジュールの他にアップデートマニュアルもある。
当然のことながらPC上で行う。
アップデートモジュールはWindows版とMac版があるようだ。

これによると手順は下記の通りで気づいた点も合わせて記載する。
インターネット経由でモジュールをダウンロードしながらの更新するようなので、
PCはインターネットに繋がっている必要がある。
1. SELECT+PS/XBOXボタンを押しながらPCに差し込む
->この時1Pと4PのLEDが点灯する。(俺のはLED1の青とLED2の赤が点灯)
->このときPCには'HID Transfer'として認識される
2. ダウンロードし解凍したアップデータを実行する
3. 実行しUFBを認識すると'START'の文字が出るので、これをクリックする。※1
4. アップデートが始めるのでしばらく待つ。
->このとき画面が数回切り替わるがケーブルを抜いたりPCを切ったりしてはいけない。
5. 終わると成功の'Confirm'ボタンが出るのでクリックする。
->PCにはPC用のスティック(Xbox One For Windows)として認識されている。
->1P,2P,3P,4PのLEDが全点灯する。(俺のはLED1の赤緑青とLED2の赤)

メガドライブミニが動作するので少なくとも俺のUFBに入っていたファームウェアのバージョンは20191021になる。
これ以降の更新は俺にはあまり関係がないので更新の意味はあまりなかったと思う。

ともあれ、アップデートは終了。1PのLEDだけが光るなんて初めてみた。
青LEDだけが光る姿を見たいときはSELECT+PS/XBOXを押しながらリセットするか、、。
