I saw the movie, "Jerry Maguire" a 1996 American romantic
comedy-drama sports film written, produced, and directed by Cameron Crowe.
Starring Tom Cruise, Cuba Gooding Jr., Renée Zellweger, and Regina King.
Box office is $273.6 million.
The film was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Tom Cruise.
And Cuba Gooding Jr. won Best Supporting Actor.
It also received nominations for three Golden Globes, with Cruise winning for Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
And was nominated five Critics Choice Awards nominations and won Best Actor, Best supporting Actor, Best Child Performance for Jonathan Lipnicki, Breakthrough Artist for Renée Zellweger.
And lot more.

Tom Cruise is so popular as an action star, but actually he is very good at playing comedy and this is a romantic comedy-drama.
I've noticed all those comedies he is starring seem
very pop and light, but in fact those have deep theme.
And still they are really enjoyable.
It's a comedy in the end.
I'm impressed their entertainment spirit.

The theme of this movie I think is "commercialism" or " pursuing profits" that Jerry want to change to more warmhearted way of business.
Not only the US, the business has to pursue profit, I suppose.

The story is---
Jerry Maguire is an excellent sports agent working for Sports Management International (SMI).
But he suddenly notices that the SMI's business policy
is cold-blooded and dis honest.
He writes a mission statement.
It says "The sports management business should be more honest and he would like to work with fewer clients to produce a better, more caring personal relationship with them."
SMI fires him.
Then he started his own agency with Dorothy Boyd, single
mother and his co-worker in SMI.
Jerry's only client, Rodney "Rod" Tidwell is a football player who is dissatisfied with contract of Arizona Cardinals.
He is a person hard to please.

On the other hand, Dorothy admires Jerry and his statement.
And her son, Raymond "Ray" Boyd loves him and so does Jerry.
Despite their agent's deficit operation, Jerry and Dorothy with Ray are getting very well.
And they get married.

Jerry has a lot of troubles and hardships but he looks after Rod kindly and warmly, although he angry at Rod's
self-assertive attitude.
Saying that Rod is not very likable and comes across as cold to the fans and should prove he is worthy of better contract.
Rod takes his advice playing very well.

Finally the day comes to him that his efforts bear fruit.
But he and Dorothy's marriage faces a crisis and they separates.
What happens next?

This is an enjoyable comedy but at the same time it's a very touching story.
Living in Capitalism seeking profit, Jerry wants to work
honestly, humanly treating his client faithfully.
It seems impractical at first but he shows us this honest way works in the end by winning a victory.

You think Dorothy would never come back to him?
If I were Dorothy I would definitely come back to him.

All of actors, actresses are marvelous in this film.
I was impressed their perform and story.
I strongly hope Tom Cruise playing in those kinds of comedy movies more.
