Named for Gwyneth Paltrow’s character in The Royal Tannenbaum, eight-piece indie rock collective Margot & The Nuclear So And So’s formed in Indianapolis in 2004 and would sign to Artemis Records and release their debut The Dust of Retreat a year later. The album, which was remastered and re-released in March of this year, has quite a bit more in common with Wes Anderson’s film than that simple character homage: part chamber pop and part indie folk, The Dust Of Retreat paints a picture of the same meandering and ambiguous existence.

Margot & The Nuclear So And So’s will play at 6PM on the first stage on June 23rd.
