now that we are on the topic of Chicago...My Were They is a Chicago based band that can bring brooding, mood rock, but can also, and more successfully, bring a solid style of up-tempo power pop. Their latest is entitled Epigrams And Interludes.

There's not a lot of info out there on this band, but I've been listening to them, so they deserve a mention. They're for fans of The National crossed with The Cure. Here are two of the more up-tempo songs...
