この度の甚大な地震・津波被害のニュースに驚き、犠牲となられた方々のご冥福及び被災地の方々の安全を心よりお祈り申し上げます。

この度、私たちは今回の東北地方太平洋沖地震を受け、

「Cheer TOHOKU Project」

を立ち上げる運びとなりました。つきましては、皆様のご協力をお願い申し上げます。
　
　被災者の方々は不安な日々を過ごされていることと存じます。そこで私たちは、世界中の皆さまからの応援メッセージを集め、多くの励ましや支援の気持ちを現地に届けることができると考えました。
　被災地にいる多くの方々が利用しているTwitterを使えば、私たちの応援の気持ちを込めたメッセージ写真を届けることができます。

　このプロジェクトにご賛同いただける方は、皆様の励ましのメッセージと共に、お住まいの地域、お名前(任意)をお書きいただき、cheertohoku@gmail.comまで写真のご送付をお願いいたします。
写真の例は、http://twitter.com/CheerTOHOKUをご参照ください。
　
なお、メッセージはスケッチブックやノート、黒板、ホワイトボートなど、どのようなものにお書きいただいても結構です。また、メッセージとご本人が写っている写真ではなく、メッセージだけを写した写真でもかまいません。

　また、ご家族やご友人など多くの方々からメッセージをいただけますと幸いです。より多くのメッセージを届け、被災地の方々を応援しましょう。

東北地方の一刻も早い復興を祈念し、皆様に「Cheer TOHOKU Project」ご参加のお願いを申し上げます。

＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
Regarding the serious damage caused by the massive earthquake and tsunami which had hit Tohoku area, northeast Japan. We decided to take an action to help the survivors. In order to support them, we launched the “Cheer TOHOKU” project. We would like to ask for your support.

Conveying warm messages from worldwide supporters would cheer up the survivors. In this project, we gather pictures from you, and we put them up on Twitter(@CheerTOHOKU). By looking at the pictures, the survivors get to know that there are many supporters from the world.

If you wish to contribute, please take the following steps:
1. Write a short message, your residence, and your name on a sketch
book, and take a picture of you holding up the message.
2. Send the picture to cheertohoku@gmail.com .
3. Your picture will be uploaded on http://twitter.com/CheerTOHOKU
4. Tell your family and your friends about this project.

The message could be in English or in any other languages, or maybe both. However, it is more likely that Japanese people understand English messages better than other languages.
You can write the message on whatever you like; on a sketchbook, on a piece of paper, on blackboard, etc.
