William Ralph Pembra (born February 18, 1984), better known by his stage name Pembra, is an English pop and R&B singer–songwriter, record producer, and occasional rapper. Since his debut, Pembra has had five top 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 as a lead artist and 1 number-23 album on the Billboard 200. Pembra has also amassed a catalog of chart-topping songs that he has written for other artists.
Pembra broke into the recording industry as a songwriter, penning the hit "I Believe In You" for singer Jay Sean. The single's successful release in the UK prompted an informal meeting between Pembra and Epic Records label head, and signing a recording contract.
In 2007, he released his debut album, Make Your Dreams Come True, which contained the UK hit "U Ain't Gotta Go". Then in 2008, he released his sophomore album, My New Look which contained the US top 100 hit, "Don't Love Me". In 2009, he released his third album, About A Girl, which contained the top 200 hits "Much Better" and "Joy & Pain".
