ごく普通の人、患者さん、専門家、医療関係者、医療無関係者、誰でもOKです。医療に関心を持つ理由は色々。

医学、サイエンス系専門用語って何語でも分かりにくいけれど少しずつ好きな単語や表現みたいなん集めて理解を深めようかなあと思って始めました。

New England Journal of Medicineなどサイエンス誌を読んでも分かりにくかった、論文やリサーチを書くのにどんな表現がいいのか、まあそんな感じの経験があれば、参加者一緒に解いていけたらな、そう思いました。単に英語に興味がある方でもお気軽に参加して下さい。

管理人は日本語より英語の方が得意ですが両方とも中途半端でまだまだ勉強中です。言語学や専門の博士号は取ってません。

文法の「細かい」ところに拘るのではなく、書かれている、また書こうとする文章の大まかな意義とそこで使われている医学用語を分解して理解できたらなと思ってます。

Medical English-Japanese Community. I started this out solely for my own enjoyment purpose :) Medical jargons are hard to enunciate (or read), let alone trying understand them. So perhaps we can breakdown some sentence structures and word structures. I hope that this will go both ways, either in English medical terms (which are Old Greek and Latin mostly anyway) or the Japanese counterpart, to deepen our understanding and appreciation of medical terminologies.　　

I'm more inclined to make this a community about understanding the gist of science articles and the way the medical terms are being used in them than chasing after minor details in the grammatical correctness.
