A little history...

NSU Berkeley was founded in Spring of 2002.
Since its establishment, NSU has been involved with many Japanese American societies around the Bay Area in Northern California.

Every year in the fall semester at UC Berkeley, a Culture Night Show is performed.
We are the only cultural awareness/interest group on campus which hosts a cultural performance in the fall semester. (the explanation sounds redundant... oops)

Some of the themes covered in the show are: historical review of what the Japanese Americans have experienced, some of the modern issues the Japanese Americans face today, an brief explanation of some of the famous 昔話 and おとぎ話, cultural musical performance and dances, etc.
