He studied at Parsons School of Design in New York while simultaneously interning at『Marc Jacobs』 for two years.
Upon his graduation in 2004, he was awarded the CFDA Emerging Designer Award.

Afterward, he went to work at『J. Crew』for a time - and when he was ready to venture out on his own and try his hand at his own American sportswear line, his experience at both『Marc Jacobs』and『J. Crew』became readily apparent.
