AssassinのDVDのBehind the Sceneで マーガレットは自分のSpiritualityについて話しています。 色々同感するところがあったので、ここに書き留めます。
"I love religion, and I love all forms. And to me, it's a beautiful thing because here's something that people all over the world share this need of meaning, and how they create this meaning out of all the things in the environment.
My mother was a Buddhist, and then she converted to Christianity, but she never left Buddhism behind.
A lot of Christianity that came to Asia with the missionaries, they converted a lot of Koreans people to become born-again Christians and take away their Shinto belief, but they never lost that (Shinto).
They never lost compassion like just healing the world, and the process like 'breathing-in-other-people's-suffering=and- breathing-out-compassion' sort of meditation.
It's something that I grew up with, I grew up with a lot of Christianity and spirituality.
And God is very important to me. But God does not exist the way as perceived by the Christian writers. No definition of God out there fits me [because] to me, it's all valid.
I wish that Christian right wouldn't impose so many rules in their version of loving God because in my mind God will never do that. [I believe that] God believes in boundary, forgiveness, and being nice to people and making things easy"
