I watched a TV program that a young nurse of Vietnamese worked at a hospital in Japan. She was about 25 years old. She could speak Japanese very well. Other Japanese nurses and inpatients said that she was a good nurse, and there was no problem.
She often said,“Please speak true, though a television camera is shooting now.” Of course her work had to be hard, but she looked happy. This hospital has had the program of an induction course for Vietnamese nurses.
They have an induction in this hospital, and if they will pass in the national examination of Japan, they can work as nurses in Japan. If they fail, they have to return to Vietnam. The director of this hospital said,“We shouldn't think that they are the cheap labor force. We should treat them same as Japanese. It's the secret of success.”
One inpatient said,“We can't now choose only Japanese nurses.” Anyway foreign nurses and care attendants (Philippine, Vietnamese, Indonesian and so on) will increase from now on in Japan. The most important problem is their salary.
If their salary is cheaper than Japanese, discrimination will occur. As a result salary of Japanese nurses may also decrease.
