なんちゃって英語・英会話コミュの甲子園大会の問題点

甲子園大会がついに終わった。
今年は１００回という、記念すべき大会であった。
優勝校は大阪桐蔭高校だったのだが、実はあまり話題になっていない。
負けた相手、つまり準優勝の金足農業高校の方が、完全に話題をさらっているのだ。

In this baseball meeting, two problems are discussed now.
These problems are not new, but now they are criticized from other countries too.
The most important problem is that only one good pitcher should throw many balls,
if his team continues to win.

自分のチームが勝ち続けると、投手は一人で投げ続ける必要性が出て来る。
高校生が五試合も六試合も連投する、という事は海外から見れば、クレージーな事かも知れない。
日本人は精神論が好きだが、精神論では試合には勝てない。
多くの優れた選手を集めるためには、カネが必要である。

But it is difficult, because a lot of money is necessary for getting good pitchers
from all areas of Japan.
In this point, private schools have clear advantage.

カネが必要になるから、公立校ではなかなか難しい。
だから、甲子園では私立校が勝つ傾向にある。
それに対して、反感を覚える人たちも多いだろう。
しかし、これが時代の流れというものだ。
しかし、何となくモヤモヤとしたものが残る。
