Now in Japan the price of gasoline is about 160 yen per a liter. In this April the price of gasoline went down in about 20 yen temporarily, but it went up again at the end of this April.
The problem is temporary tax of gasoline. This temporary tax of gasoline has continued during about 30 years, and so it's not temporary now. This temporary tax is 25 yen, and this 25 yen has revived at this time.
It's said that this tax is necessary for the local budget. If this tax will be lost, people who live in local areas, must have shortage of the budget. This tax is mainly spent for building roads. It is the public enterprise for local areas, but now a lot of money are necessary for pension, medicine and nursing.
Old people will increase rapidly in Japan. What is the most necessary thing? Young people will decrease, and so tax revenue will not increase in the future. What should we do for this aging society? We should decide what is the most important thing. Of course it's not a road, but life.
