どんな分野でも専門用語の翻訳にはてこずるものですが、IEC（国際電気標準会議）がIEC 60050 International Electrotechnical Vocabulary という規格をオンラインデータベース化し、さらに最近日本語を含めた内容すべてが無償で公開されるとともにELECTROPEDIAという名称がつけられました。
これは、電気・電子関係の分野で使われている用語をすべて網羅しており、各国語の訳語がわかるようになっています。日本語での検索も可能です。
