Comments: This short film will add a great new role to your reel! The story begins in Japan and makes its way to Canada as we follow a Yakuza gang member who leaves Japan in hopes of starting an honest life.
Storyline: Daisuke is a young Yakuza gang member in Boss Miyamoto's clan. One night, when he makes a mistake that almost costs him his life, he is abandoned by his fellow gang memebers. The police find him and, having no other option, he rats on Miyamoto and flee's to Canada. Life is difficult without the Yakuza's dirty money but he soon gets an honest job and engages in a meaningful relationship. However, Daisuke discoveres that some mistakes cannot be undone.
Character Name: Daisuke Gender: Male Age: 22 - 30 Description: Recently inducted into Miyamoto's clan, Daisuke is cocky and careless. After quitting the gang life and moving to Canada, Daisuke becomes paranoid and scared that his past will catch up with him. He soon gets a job and meets Chieko with whom he feels relaxed and happy. Speeks fluent Japanese.
Character Name: Chieko Gender: Female Age: 20 - 30 Description: Born in Canada to Japanese parents, Chieko would like to be more in touch with her culture than she currently is. Cute and shy, she befriends Daisuke at her new job at West Coast Coffee and learns Japanese in the process. Speaks English without accent.
Character Name: Miyamoto Gender: Male Age: 40 - 60 Description: A long life of violent crime and heinous acts has enabled Miyamoto to become boss of his own clan. His followers admire him for his twisted personality and his indifference to threats from rival gangs. Speaks fluent Japanese.
Character Name: Bodyguard Gender: Male Age: 30 - 40 Description: The Bodyguards are Miyamoto's private protectors. Clever and strong, they were hand picked by Miyamoto amongst many clan members. Bodyguard 1 is Miyamoto's right-hand man while Bodyguard 2 is the brawnier back-up. Both speak fluent Japanese.
