Since the 1980s, Japanese popular culture has been immersing into Hong Kong people’s life through different media, with comics and animation being the most influential among all. This time, the HKAC once again takes the role of the initiator and provides an invaluable chance for the Hong Kong audience to get acquainted with Japanese alternative comics. With the generous support from Kyoto International Manga Museum, the exhibition will, for the first time in Hong Kong, showcase over 100 years of Japanese comic history.
