William Orbit's long awaited new disc is well worth the wait; which is good, since we are all still waiting. William Orbit's own quite excellent website--all dazzling graphics, fantastic new snippets of streaming audio straight from Mr. Orbit's studio, a virtuoso site in all ways but one: it lacks any information whatsoever about any new activities Mr. Orbit might be involved in, such as a new album--does not acknowledge a new disc or any kind of forthcoming new disc whatsoever. How this got listed and got Orbit fans around the globe quite excited would be a very interesting thing to know. Oh, and Mr. Orbit...while you're at it, please also don't release discs of any outtakes, old Torch Song reissues, your SuperPinkyMandy collaboration with Beth Orton, or anything else fans might eagerly await. Was this refer helpful to you? Or did you find it silly and irritating? Please let the good music editors at amazon know so they can remove "will ship in 2-3 days" status for product that doesn't exist.
Further surfing reveals that the release is delayed until Jan 2006. Can't find the URL that mentioned it now, but it wasn't particularly spectacular or informative - the info was in boring looking table with loads of other releases from a non-label non-industry site.

On the subject of Sanctuary records, this from BBC teletext today:
"Sanctuary Cuts A Quarter Of Staff:
UK Music management business and record label Sanctuary is to cut it's workforce by a quarter after a series of
profit warnings following weak trading.
The firm, which has offices in London, Houston, Los Angeles, New York & Berlin is to cut 175 jobs but has not yet
said where the axe wil fall.
Sanctuary's stable of artists include Sir Elton John, The Manic Street Preachers, Morrissey and Iron Maiden.
The firm said it hoped the move would return it to profitability"
If they go Belly-up, even a January release might be a problem :(
That's a good question, I assume the USA release might also be worldwide but I can't confirm right now.
At the very worst, it should be easily available online CD outlets.
once I know more information I'll post it to this group & the web site.

Do you know if there is any release date information for Australia at this time?
Cheers
