Dalhousie Security has been informed that several incidents have been reported to Halifax Regional Police indicating that an unidentified male has entered insecure residences in the South end of Halifax, during the early morning hours, when occupants are asleep. In all three incidents, the victim has been a female who either lives alone or with other women. Theft does not appear to be a motive for entering the residence.
Members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect. He is described as a white male, between 19-25 years of age, with short hair and average build. Therefore, anyone who can identify this individual, or has information about these incidents, or similar incidents, is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police (490-5016), Crime Stoppers (1-800-222-8477), or Dalhousie Security (494-6400).
Halifax Regional Police and Security Services also wish to remind community members to ensure their windows and doors, including those located off a fire escape, are kept secured for your safety and to help prevent incidents of this nature from occurring.
