Hi, my name is Mike and I am a 29 year old Canadian and I want to go white water rafting with some people near Banff or Golden BC on Saturday, July 21st.
My plan is to rent a car and drive there in about 2-3 hours. We can go rafting for the morning/afternoon and come back to Calgary in the evening.
I live in Dalhousie so the easiest way is to pick everyone up at Dalhousie train station in the morning and drop them off in the evening.
I think this is what it would cost...
Car rental and insurance about $75
Banff car day pass $15
Gas about $60
Rafting about $70 * 5 = 350
Total about $500
If we have 5 people, then it would cost each person about $100.

Hi, its me again.... I thought I should tell you more about myself...
My name is Mike and I lived in Japan in 2001-2002, 2003, and 2004... I taught English in schools and eikaiwas... actually the last two times I was there only for about 2-3 months each time. So in total I lived there for about 1.5 years. I lived in Toyama, Shizuoka, and Nagoya/Gifu.
I had a nice time in Japan because I had some nice friends. I hope I can make some more Japanese friends and so this is why I joined mixi.
Its kind of funny to go rafting with strangers but I think this is the purpose of Mixi. To meet new people. Anyway if you have any questions or ideas about the trip, please e-mail me on Mixi!
