1) There's an old saying, "don't let the bed bugs bite" but as Jim Roop reports from Los Angeles, it's not just a throw away line any more.
2) There is an outbreak of the nasty little buggers.
3) L.A. County Health Director, Dr. Jonathan Fielding says, nocturnal pests nest in hotel beds, even cars, buses and air plane cushions.
4) "They are, they look kind of like lentils. They are small little bugs. They are smaller than your finger nail. They basically sleep during the day uh or, and then at night they come out and bite.
5) He says they are easy to carry home, getting into your luggage and on your clothes but very tough to eradicate.
6) You may have to replace your mattresses and throw the clothes out.
7) All 50 states are reporting outbreaks of bed bugs.
