My name is Yuki Rhinehart and I am a (half Japanese half American) radio personality, voiceover, and talent agency owner in Tokyo.
If you speak Japanese, are bilingual and interested in voice work, we need you!
My company White Magic Entertainment Japan will soon be launching a computerized system (website) onto where Japanese speaking and bilingual voiceovers can upload their profile and voice samples, and where voice seekers can find voices by entering key words of the type of voice they need, proceed with auditions and the real job by a simple upload-download process all through this website. The voiceover can make their decision whether to audition by seeing the quote, length, deadline and details of the job. If you have recording equipment you can audition and work during your free time, or also go to the studio of your choice. Signing up and voice searching will be free of cost, and only when a job is completed, we will deduct a reasonable amount from the client's payment. No experience is needed. From infant to senior citizen, from ant to bear, from news anchor to Obama impersonator, from husky to high toned, hundreds if not thousands of voices are in need of daily for all kinds of projects in Japan. Television and radio commercials, e-learning, phone applications, industrial videos, and the list just goes on and on.
Plus, you already have a talent that is deeply appreciated and is very attractive to the Japanese ear and industry.
If you would like to be a part of this as a voiceover (talent) please send us a short profile (resume) to voice@whitemagic-inc.co.jp and add that you saw this post on Mixi. We will send you an e-mail of confirmation, and when the time comes, we will guide you to the website and instruct you how to sign up and etc. We just need to be sure that we have enough members to launch this successfully; thus asking you to show your interest by mailing in your resume so we can "count" you in. For those who have voice samples, they will also be welcome as we are of course a regular talent agency working face to face with hundreds of clients daily. Your private information will protected under the guidelines of Japan's "Private Information Protection Law."
