I am sorry for the inconvenience. I am sending this message from a computer at SFU. I just would like everyone to know and hopefully the topic will be passed anytime soon. As you probably see the details below, I am setting up the fund raising booth from 14th to 16th at SFU Burnaby campus and downtown campus. It will be really appreciated if you can allow me to create a topic for this charity event and everyone can spread this information out in Vancouver. I believe that everyone feels the same after having seen the news about the devastating earthquake in Japan, and this is the time we all should get together and make a contribution to our home country. I will post the details below and also the link on Facebook. Thank you very much for your concern.
As most of people have seen or heard the news about the devastating earthquake in Japan, there have been massive chaos, damages, and casualties there. Quite a few higher level earthquakes are still happening, continuously. I just cannot explain how serious I've been concerned about the situation as much as other Japanese people in the world. For those who have seen the news, I would like everyone to spread out the fact and reali...ty to people who don't know yet and would like people to take part in our charity group and take an action.
Just for one small step, we will set up a booth at SFU Burnaby campus and hopefully Harbour Contre to raise money for the aid. I am still working on setting up a booth at Habour Centre on Wednesday, the 16th, but could occupy one spot at AQ on Burnaby campus for Monday the 14th and Tuesday the 15th.
The booth will be at the hole way of cafeteria in AQ, on Moday (very far at the end, close to cafeteria, I believe.) and will be at the corner of the science building on Tuesday (along the science building, down the end of corner toward to cornerstone.)
We are cooperating with BCJSN, British Columbia Japanese Student Network, and plan to donate the money though Canadian Red Cross.
I am emotionally writing this right now and cannot get the idea clear in my head. I really appreciate any suggestions, ideas and so forth. Please just come by and tell us whatever you come up with. Your concern is so much appreciated.
I will try to email out the details to as many clubs as possible at SFU. Everyone please invite your friends to join the charity and I appreciate your time and consideration.
One more thing: please tell all your friends whoever live in Vancouver if we can set up the booth at Harbour Centre on Wednesday, the 16th. This will be the best time and place we can see and get people together. I will keep updating the information here.
