US Speaker Nancy Pelosi was asked by a journalist about where the US draws
the line in terms of rhetoric and supplying weapons without "provoking something
far worse".

She replies: "Let me just speak for myself. Do not be bullied by bullies.
If they're making threats you cannot back down. We're there for the fight,
and you cannot fold to a bully."

US Speaker Pelosi meets Zelensky in Kyiv

US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi has made a surprise visit to
Kyiv and met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In a tweet with a video clip showing Pelosi in the streets of the Ukrainian capital,
President Zelensky said “the United States is the leader in strong support for
Ukraine’s fight against Russian aggression”.

“Thank you for helping to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of
our state!”

Pelosi was accompanied by fellow senior Democrat Adam Schiff and three other
Congressmen. She is yet to comment on the visit.

A visit to Kyiv by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defence Secretary
Lloyd Austin last weekend was only officially confirmed by the White House after
they had left the country.
