Mr. Tomooka refused to support the Komeito (the political arm of the Soka Gakkai) even though he is an employee of the Soka Gakkai.
For that reason, he was interrogated seven times by the Soka Gakkai between the fall of 2016 and the spring of 2017.
After this interrogation, he became ill with PTSD, dysphagia, and respiratory failure.
In 2018 he was hospitalized after becoming ill with aspiration pneumonia.
He died on April 2, 2019.

'This case should be investigated because it is one of involuntary manslaughter.'
A small group claiming to do so collected signatures, but only 592 signatures were received.
The Soka Gakkai argued that the interrogation was justified.
The case was then forgotten by everyone.
