GLOBAL SYSTEMS SILENTLY MOVING : ALTERING THE AIR (CD SILENTES 200614) Quiet, flowing, rivers of murky low-fi atmospheric haze, with deep, distant, sub-bass pulses that seem to come from underground. Waves of shortwave noise roll up to the listeners feet like water on the shore. Introspective movements to get lost in. Repetitious, hypnotic sequences transmitted from an ethereal universe. All-pervading, and infinitely elastic. Widescreen glimpses into seven perpetually moving soundscapes that have no beginnings or ends. Epic patterns... rolling until the end of time. Lost souls wandering in a dense audio-fog. These are archival analog recordings made in Detroit (1996), and seem to be somehow affiliated with the "deepchord brotherhood" (recorded by/produced by DC), however... the actual artist here is not completely clear.
OPIUM : ALGORITHMS (CD SILENTES 200615) A stunning new offering by Opium. Classically elegant and extremely refined ambient music. Multi-dimensional sounds that are warm and enveloping. An emotional travelogue, starting dramatically, then taking the listener down a slower path, comfortably easing you into a long and fascinating sonic trip, where the sounds grow wide and large, and finally crumble inward, then regenerate, returning for another phase. A new sonic alchemy, and an entirely new world of soothing sounds for the adventurous listener to visit.

MICHAEL MANTRA & CHARLZ DE LA CASA : CERULEAN TRANSMISSION (CD SILENTES 200616) A precious sonic masterwork, documenting the extraordinary collaboration between Michael Mantra and Charlz De La Casa. A cd of suspended time and space... "classical" static music. Two long tracks flow like sonic lava, weaving together lush background washes, and evocative field recordings. Dark electric sounds, beautiful drones, inner-Earth rumbling, human voices, concrete noises, ship engines, sirens, sounds of the sea, bubbles, wind, chants, and wildlife sounds merge in an indefinable (and never before experienced) way... an absolutely unmissable work.

SEELE : THE DEEP SIDE OF MY SOUL (CD SILENTES 200617) After the previous Silentes cd: "Berlin", Seele offers a new, entrancing excursion into urban atmospheres. A rhythmic trip thats deeply moving and coloured, mixing different styles with remarkable originality. Seele uses synthetic sounds, drum machine grooves, ambient textures, alluring female vocals, iridescent chants of the orient, exotic instrumental sounds, rapper-esque vocal phrases, arpeggios of pizzicato strings, and deeply evocative piano melodies. An unbelievable blend of sonic elements clash to create a new sonic fabric that has never been experienced before. Uncharted musical terrain for the listener seeking a completely new direction in sound.

FREQUENCY IN CYCLES PER SECOND / MAURIZIO BIANCHI : CHAOTISCHE FRAKTALE / LETZTE TECHNOLOGIE (2CD SILENTES MINIMAL EDITIONS SME0612) A new double cd from Silentes, containing soundworks by "Chaotische Fraktale" and "Letze Technologie". These works were sourced from collaborations between M.B./Maurizio Bianchi, and Frequency in Cycles for Second/Sandro Kaiser. A fascinating sonic mix of influences here... industrial, electro-experimentation, minimalism, noise, and deep-listening. Large, drone-based segments meld with the distant sounds of reverberating piano and soft whispered melodies. Dramatic and dark. Huge pools of sound, where the listener can float weightlessly between earthly calm and otherworldly discord.
