Hello, everyone. My name is Jen and I am a first year Japanese student at Pitt, but my major is linguistics. I was born in Pittsburgh, but I lived in Ohio for 8 years. Currently I live in the Bloomfield area on Penn Avenue.
Please forgive me for posting my introduction in English. My Japanese is not very good yet. I tried to read everyone else's introduction, although I only understood a little bit.
My main interest is, of course, linguistics. I really love syntax and also learning new languages. My hope is to go to graduate school in Japan, because the Japanese language provides a lot of interesting linguistic counterexamples to English.
りよんっちさん, the World Food Economy class sounds fascinating. I am also very interested in cooking and in the state of the food supply around the world.
I have a blog in Japanese at http://badbento.blogspot.com but I'm afraid it might be very difficult to read. I started it so I could practice my Japanese.
Thank you for reading and I hope I can write something sensible in Japanese very soon!
Graduate School of Public and International Affairs(GSPIA)のMaster courseで、テロ問題などを勉強していました。
